Cultural philanthropy is about igniting a stronger appreciation for arts and culture, while promoting sustainability through monetary and in-kind support for our arts groups.
Besides support from the government, a rich and thriving arts and heritage landscape needs our people to feel an affinity with our shared culture and contribute to its growth and development. MCCY encourages corporations and individuals to contribute towards developing Singapore’s cultural landscape.
Singapore’s vibrant arts and culture scene is possible only with the generous contributions from sponsors, donors and supporters of the arts. The Patron of the Arts (POA) Awards, instituted in 1983, celebrates and recognises private support by individuals and organisations towards the promotion of cultural and artistic activities in Singapore. The National Arts Council administers the awards. Find out more.
The Patron of Heritage Awards (POHA) celebrates the donations and contributions of individuals and organisations who have given to heritage causes. The awards can cover the promotion and conservation of aspects of heritage relating to our architecture, community, society and culture. Various contributions can be considered for POHA and include donations in cash, in-kind, artworks, artefacts, and archival materials. Find out more.
