Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong will be travelling to Venice from 16 – 20 April 2024 to launch the Singapore Pavilion at the 60th La Biennale di Venezia (Biennale Arte 2024).

Singapore, 16 April 2024 – Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong will be travelling to Venice from 16 – 20 April 2024 to launch the Singapore Pavilion at the 60th La Biennale di Venezia (Biennale Arte 2024). 

  1. The Venice Biennale is one of the most established international platforms for contemporary art in the world. Our continued participation reflects Singapore’s commitment to showcasing Singapore’s art and artists to a global audience by presenting their works at internationally renowned platforms.

  1. The Singapore Pavilion will be presented at the Sale d’Armi, Arsenale, and will feature interdisciplinary artist Robert Zhao Renhui. Zhao’s presentation is a call for audiences to pay closer attention to their natural environment and examine the ways that human urban design can shape the natural world. Comissioned by the National Arts Council, this year’s Pavilion is organised by the Singapore Art Museum.

  2. Biennale Arte 2024 runs from 20 April – 24 November 2024.
